The ideal Job

For me, the ideal job is help to people with cancer. I think that each person with cancer need a lot of things, principally they need support to confront this delicate process. For that, they need a medical personal and a treatment very expensive, depending the grade of cancer. But they don't need only that, they need the familiar support because is a sad news. To help a person with cancer, I can be a doctor, a nurse or whatever it is, the important thing is be a person with the best values, a person with a big will and it be very strong because, a lot of times you can involve very much causing you a lot of pain.


I think that I'm good to this job because since I was a little, I have been involve in this illness. My grandma had a cancer during 6 years and she lived with us. She had the support of our family and she never gave up. This experience made that I have so much interest to this illness and so much interest to help the people with it. I want to be a good professional to can help all people with this illness to the best way.


Sometimes, to obtain this job you have be very constant and try in each place. Any body can obtain this job, only you have all your wishes in help this people.

Biology =D

My favourite subject is biology, especially the last unit: Embriology. I think that biology help me a lot to obtain all the knowledges that I need to understand the diferent process of our body. In embriology there are a lot of teachers that help us in each class, they are the best teachers in my career because they made sure that we understand all they teach us, they are very tolerant and funny in the class, make the class more interesting. In fact, I learn much better in this way. The best teachers in embriology area are Mariana Rojas and Miguel Concha, they are so kind and always be for us to any question or doubt.

I need learn embriology because it's about the development of our body since the beginning, it explain me how work our estructures to form the organs and why the congenital anomalies occurs. This unit help me a lot to can be a big help to my future patients and explain them each facility or dificulty in the pregnancy process.

I like embriology very much, because I love all the things that learn me about my career and it's a beautiful opotunity to know how our body form.

My future...

Well, in 5 years, I'll be a good midwife in my town, Santa Cruz because it hasn't all the health professional neesary to cover the people's needs, althought I'll be just beginning.I'll do a magíster to be the best in my area and I'll start to pay the university's credit. I'll live with my husband and we will plan have a lot of kids, because I'll have a big house in Santa Cruz. Before this, I'll take a long vacations and I'll travel to England, Greece, and the Caribbean. I'll bought a new house to my parents for all they did for me. As well, I also will do voluntaries jobs to help to poor people in my town. I'll make sure that my patients will get all they need to have a good life in all sense, principally in their sexual life. So, I want emphasize that the most important thing in my future will be help to people that need me because for that i'm studing Obstetrics, to be a good person and give to neighbor all happiness that God gave me during my life.

DR. Aníbal Rodríguez Velasco, Master of chilean obstetrics

He was very important to the chilean obstetrics, because he was one of the founders of Sociedad Chilena de Obstetricia y Ginecología in 1935. In the first half of past century, he set the develop and prestige of our carreer. He gave to the future generations the modernity to understand the process of our carrer.

He studied medicine in the Universidad de Chile in 1927, during his studient's years he presented a lot of investigations about themes of obstetrics, and he obtain an very importants charges. Across the time, his investigations helped to improve the knowledges about obstetrics.

I like his because he was a very intelligent person but always he keeped his humility and simplicity, and that is very important for be in the future an unpright professional. I feel very proud because I have in my carreer an interesting history made by Dr. Aníbal Rodríguez, without his knowledges, our career don't be the same. He was and will be the basis of our develop as professionals, because his investigations was converted in our main knowledges about our carrer.

Obstetrics: My career

In fact I wanted to study Nursery, but obstetrics was a very good option to do in the future something for other people. For this reason I picked obstetrics, because I want to help pregnant women and teach their all about pregnancy, how they will feel, what they will need during pregnancy, etc. I want include to the pregnant's family too, especially to the baby's father if he's present in this process. The pregnant needs the support of her family and friends to have a good and pleasant pregnancy.

The midwife helps to women that want to get pregnant or family planning, she can do natural deliveries, and she has all knowledges to answer any pregnant's questions. The most important midwife's funtion is give the necessary help to form a good family.

For this, the midwife must has a big knowledge about her profession, how she must treats to the pregnant, she must be very delicate, and be very discreet with the information that the pregnant give her. It isn't a easy job, but if you're a good professional, makes the pregnant's life more easy and you will be a good support in this dificult process.

This year my favourite subject is biology, because it teach me all I need to understand how operate each mecanism of our body and it's the basis of biological kwowledges that i must have to be a good profesional.

The best photograph!

This picture was taken in the house of my boyfriend's grandfather. There is a beautiful stream that cross all the plot of land and a lot of trees. As well This picture was taken in winter, so the stream came in it full capacity, that it make it more beautiful!

My boyfriend took this picture when was the birthday of his grandfather, he loves cultivate herbs, so my boyfriend's family told us that we must look for the herbs to drink a Mate. So, we went all over the plot of land and we took this oportunity to take photos of this beautiful landscape.

I like this picture a lot because i love the nature that it has, it's very simple, i'm just an adorn, the rest of the picture is the most important. When i see it, i remember that day, the sound of the stream, the trees's movement, the smell of the herbs. I loove this place! I want to live on a similar place when i grow up. I hope so! because it's a perfect place to have a perfect life. =D

An important web page to my career

My favourite web page to my career is about pregnancy and all it process. I found it searching the word EMBARAZO in www.google.com. It's a very complete page, and i love it because it teach to the women, how is each pregnancy week, from the first week until the delivery making the pregnant's life more easy.

It contain information about the food that you need eat during the pregnancy, the relation between sex and pregnancy, and if you work, it explain which are your labour law. It's very nice visit it because it design is very pleasing to the eye. For that reason i visit this page twice a week, as well because i can learn more about this important process in my career, and be a good professional. We most help to the woman to form a healthy family and make her pregnancy's process an unforgettable experience.

I think that the midwife should use this page like a complement in the education that she gives to all her patients.
